A spiritual community, in its truest essence, serves as a crucible for experiencing belonging. It is more than a mere assembly of individuals; it is a group of people who are committed for the long term to their own, one another's, and their group's well-being... They do things together, they participate in common practices, they depend on one another, they make decisions together and they identify themselves as something larger than the sum of their individual relationships. This deep commitment and shared experience move us beyond superficial interactions and allow us to glimpse the unifying principle that binds us together. The spiritual call to belonging is an invitation to actively participate in the co-creation of such spaces - oases of welcome where our inherent unity can be
recognized, nurtured, and celebrated.
Deep gratitude to Reverend Renay Bloom for sharing (above) her wisdom on BELONGING
