Poet Laureate 

Poet Brenda Bunting is an award-winning orator and the author of “Poems of Love and Violence in between Life and Death” 1st and 2nd editions. She is a storyteller with the National Domestic Violence Hotline Storytellers Collective and the National Association of Black Storytellers. She hosts poetry events and has been featured live, virtually, on television, and blog radio. Brenda’s work has been published in numerous anthologies and publications in print and online. She is a workshop facilitator and spoken word artist who advocates for various causes. 

She is a literary leader of Prince Georges County Maryland, a life member of the Kentucky State Poetry Society and is currently working on her next book of poems and first novel.
