Leadership Team

Alex 2008 Our Founding Spiritual Director is Reverend Alex Escudero, who was ordained by Centers for Spiritual Living in 2013. She has been a licensed New Thought Practitioner since 1999 and has lived in DC and the DC area for most of her life. Reverend Alex is also a member of the Leadership Council. 
Suzanne2 Suzanne Lacey has earned the distinction of Practitioner Emeritus for her more than 20 years of service in New Thought communities. 
TerryOliver Terry Oliver lives in Gaithersburg, MD, and is a Practitioner with our Center. She can be reached at
Joanne Joanne Hepworth was the Founding Chair of our Leadership Council (board of trustees) and is a Science of Mind Practitioner and a lawyer in Washington, DC. 
Rev. Guenter lives in Bucharest, Romania. He grew up in Southern Germany and has gained much international experience from over three decades of work as an economist, consultant, trade counselor, business correspondent and writer on four continents – in Europe, North Africa, South East Asia and North America. Guenter is a licensed CSL Minister and affiliated Associate Minister with the Center for Spiritual Living in Washington DC. Guenter graduated from Holmes Institute, Denver Region, in 2018. He loves The Science of Mind teaching and New Thought spirituality and philosophy, has a strong interest in philosophy, spiritual psychology, counseling, coaching, languages, photography and art. 
Amy Perry is a licensed Practitioner through CSL and through Agape. She sees clients in her home office, an office in Falls Church, and via phone and webcam. She has clients from Boston and New York, to Houston, Seattle and Los Angeles. 
Joshua Payne is a licensed Spiritual Coach, or Practitioner, for the Center. 
Deletta Gillespie is our Music Consultant. She performs regularly in the DMV with several bands. She uses her talents to not only entertain, but to create awareness about causes close to her heart. She has toured as a sound healing artist with the Monument Quilt, a traveling art display that provides a public healing space for survivors of sexual and domestic violence. She also performs in ICU’s and at nursing homes and assisted living facilities as a therapeutic musician. Deletta is a published author and an adjunct professor teaching history, performance and performance theory courses. Learn more
Norm Hogeland is a licensed Practitioner through our Center and a regular musical guest. 
Lisa Bolton is a member of the Center’s Leadership Council. She was elected as the Communications Workers of America Vice President Telecommunications and Technologies in 2015. She has been attending Mile Hi Church of Religious Science in Lakewood, CO since 2001. She has taken classes there and joined as a member in 2010. Lisa searched out the Center for Spiritual Living DC and has been a member here since 2017.
