An amazing thing about visioning is that even if you are visioning for a community you always get tremendous personal benefit.

This Sunday our ENCOURAGEMENT will be by Reverend Dr. Raymont Anderson. His topic is CHANGE. In his words:

You have changed and that change may have begun with a realization that you had been transferring, judging, blaming and having realized this you stepped into a transcendence of your experiences of pain and suffering as you eventually forgave, released, and transformed your life into a new conscious creation. This new level gave way to a transmogrification in which you may not have even realized the depth of your metamorphosis; it is here that you begin to experience Samadhi, that level of transfiguration that Moses and Yeshua demonstrated!

Yes you have changed . . . but who is the “you” that has changed?

Our music will be by Jen Patience Rowe.

HIGH NOTES with LEA: Innie or Outie?

Innie or Outie… not that 🙂

Yesterday, Rev Alex spoke about Belonging and Becoming. She asked each of us whether we are introverts or extroverts by nature. As she pointed out, there are elements of both in all of us. One part always looks within to become more of what Spirit calls us to be. The other part of us reaches out to share, acknowledge, enjoy and learn from our unity with the rest of Life.

Here is a recording of one of the songs I shared during the service. The other was a chant called “Greater Good of All” by David Roth. Everyone sang beautifully! Check out the CSL-DC FB page for a taste (captured by Dianne 🙂

See you all again on November 27, if not before.  Have a creepy Halloween and a warm Thanksgiving.

In the meantime, SUBSCRIBE to this blog to keep abreast of what’s happening at the Center and for more High Notes. Also, feel free to swing by my website:

Becoming & Belonging

lea2016with-guitarDear Friend in Spirit –

Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert? My ENCOURAGEMENT this Sunday, October 16, will explore our need to become more, which is often an inner journey, and also to belong, which is more of an outer journey.

We are delighted to welcome back Lea as our musical inspiration.

A silent meditation is held before service from 10 to 10:45. All are welcome!

This SATURDAY, October 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., New Thought Practitioner Heather Jones will facilitate a workshop on the POWER OF PRAYER. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn an amazing tool for living a Love-centered life.

The Center offers this workshop as a gift to the world… and we welcome any donations that come from your heart. Please let Heather know you will participate by contacting her at or 310.367.0270.
