This Sunday, we shall receive an ENCOURAGEMENT from our beloved Senior and Founding Minister, Rev. Alex.

Rev. Alex

“How can we tell what is real and what is fake? Two people can witness the same events and then render entirely different accounts as to what took place.” ~Rev. Alex

On Saturday, October 7, Eugene Holden will facilitate a Listening from Love dialog at the Center for Spiritual Living DC on issues of diversity and inclusion. We’ll be engaging in highly interactive activities around the following questions:

How do you feel about the race relationships in your community?
• Are you in touch with the feelings that recent broadcasts and news items have brought to your awareness?
• What have you noticed about yourself through your reactions to these recent events?
• Have you discovered some unforgiveness that you have?
• Did you think you had resolved issues only to have certain feelings triggered? Can you give examples of this?
• Can you see more love and justice showing up in your world?
• What would it take?
• If I had my way, what would justice, equality and fairness look like in my world?
• What’s my part in this?
• What gifts do I have to offer?
• What am I willing to become?

All are welcome!

We would very much appreciate a head count to make sure we have enough materials. This is being done on a LOVE OFFERING basis.

From 2-5 p.m. at 7059 Blair Rd. NW.

Metro: Takoma.

Free parking.

Thank you for any assistance in helping to spread the word.

In gratitude

Dear Friend in Spirit,
Here is our newsletter from the week of September 11-17

Banner with text encouragement

We received an ENCOURAGEMENT from our Associate Minister Rev. Dr. Raymont Anderson.

Rev. Dr. Raymont Anderson

In his words, “In his words:
There is a good deal of talk in the realm of Abundance, Prosperity, Wealth, and Affluence as it pertains to money but it certainly seems that we forget that true wealth, prosperity, and abundance demonstrates in all areas of our lives. If it is true that we reap as we have sown, why do we not look more intently at what we are sowing? Are we letting our seeds fall onto the side of the road to be eaten by birds? Are we letting our seeds be scorched because they were on rocky land? Are we letting them be choked out by thorns? Or are we planting them in rich and fertile soil where they grow up, and produce a crop bearing thirty-fold, another sixtyfold, and another a hundredfold? Are we invested in the work, using our talents wisely? Are we willing to go the extra mile that Walking the Walk of the Divine requires?”

FlowerPlease join us this Thursday, April 13 @ 7 p.m. for Community Visioning by phone! Visioning is a wonderful spiritual practice that we use in our community to make sure that everything that we do is guided by Spirit. An amazing thing about visioning is that even if you are visioning for a community you always get tremendous personal benefit.

This Sunday our ENCOURAGEMENT will be by Reverend Dr. Raymont Anderson. His topic is CHANGE. In his words:

You have changed and that change may have begun with a realization that you had been transferring, judging, blaming and having realized this you stepped into a transcendence of your experiences of pain and suffering as you eventually forgave, released, and transformed your life into a new conscious creation. This new level gave way to a transmogrification in which you may not have even realized the depth of your metamorphosis; it is here that you begin to experience Samadhi, that level of transfiguration that Moses and Yeshua demonstrated!

Yes you have changed . . . but who is the “you” that has changed?

Our music will be by Jen Patience Rowe.
